Founded in 2019 by architect, designer and craftsman Lawrence Davidson, Break is an experimental, materials-curious product design studio based in Oakland, California.

Lawrence’s background in art history, architecture and fabrication inform the studio’s design philosophy, attention to detail and creative flexibility.

Understanding how objects and materials generate meaning within environments is core to the Break spirit. 

Lawrence has worked with several leading creative technology companies to design holistic brand experiences, installations, bespoke products and physical environments.
